Koontz Dogfish Creek Tributary project was taken on by Mid Sound Fisheries this
year, the project will address a fish passage barrier on Dog
Fish Creek in Kitsap County. This was a culvert
replacement project where Mid Sound applied for a grant
through FFFPP ( Family Forest Fish Passage Program )to replace
the undersized culvert that was a barrier with a new bigger
culvert that would allow the stream channel to migrate
naturally and the new culvert will allow more fish to travel up
and down the stream.
