DESCRIPTION:Help Fenster Nature Park\, Salmon\, and the Orcas by maintaining and restoring the shores of the Green River! \nJoin Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group\, Green River Coalition\, and the City of Auburn to spread mulch\, remove non-native invasive species\, and plant native trees and shrubs at Fenster Nature Park\, in Auburn from 10 am-1 pm. Spreading mulch helps maintain moisture around native plants and reduces the opportunity for invasive plants to regrow. Native trees help shade the river for cooler water for salmon\, provide fresh clean air\, and beautify our parks! Be a part of your community\, give back\, and meet new people. \nRegister Here. The event will begin with a brief discussion that includes information about the site\, the partnering organizations\, why this work is important\, tool use\, and safety. We will provide work gloves\, all instructions\, and all tools. Please plan to arrive on time for the start of the event and allow extra time to find parking. \nEmail erik@midsoundfisheries.org if you have any questions.
