SUMMARY:2nd Monday Tides Talk at the Hansgrill
DESCRIPTION:Come to our monthly late afternoon sit-down chat. \nWe meet on the 2nd Monday at the Hansgrill… it’s a nice time for us to check in with the community. If you have observations or questions to bring to the community’s attention\, and you’re either not a morning person\, not a big walker\, or you work during the day\, this is your time. Tea or coffee will be served. \nThe hope is that our twice monthly outreach (see also 4th Friday Fishing for Answers) can provide a more thorough understanding of the project’s goals and limitations. Direct communication on site might ease some of the fear associated with the power of mother nature that landowners on this block know very well\, and take some of the power away from misinformation that can throw a lot of confusion into a longterm\, well-documented study. These outreach opportunities\, and the slides\, meeting notes\, and FAQs on our website will hopefully keep us grounded in our Design Timeline. We hope that you’ll feel welcome to join us to help determine which problems the project hopes to solve\, and which problems are really outside of the project scope. The Greatest Migration traces the epic path of Snake River salmon\, whose journey from Alaska\, through Washington and Oregon to Idaho’s Snake River takes them more than 900 miles inland\, with elevation gains of nearly 7\,000 feet to reach their spawning grounds. Join Mid Sound Fisheries in this evening for the whole family\, sponsored by Firehouse owner\, Terry Delegeane. Learn about the habitat stewardship and restoration we can do here at home to boost salmon recovery. Concessions available for purchase. First come first served; doors open at 6:30.
