DESCRIPTION:Join Mid Sound Fisheries\, the City of Auburn\, and your community members as we restore the shores of the Green-Duwamish River at Fenster Park! At this event we are going to be removing a patch of blackberry so we can plant native plants that will benefit salmon in the Green River. \nPlease click here to sign up using VolunteerMatch! \nThe event will begin with a brief discussion that includes information about the site\, the partnering organizations\, why this work is important\, tool use\, and safety. We will provide work gloves\, all instructions\, and all tools. Please plan to arrive on time for the start of the event and allow extra time to find parking. \nEveryone is welcome\, but anyone 16 or 17 years old attending without an adult needs to fill out and bring the attached Youth Waiver to the event. Anyone under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Thank you! \n  \nCovid-19 Safety Protocol: \n\nBefore arriving at the event please check your temperature. DESCRIPTION:Join Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group\, in partnership with the City of Kenmore and Confluence Environmental Company\, for habitat restoration at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis Park on Saturday\, June 1\, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM. \nPlease sign up using VolunteerMatch: https://www.volunteermatch.org/search/opp3811798.jsp \nSno-King Watershed Council will be there\, too! Join Mid Sound and other Swamp Creek Habitat Restoration Project volunteers on a very special field trip to the recently restored part of ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis Park. This is the FIRST special once-a-quarter opportunity to experience part of the park that is normally off-limits to human visitors. We’ll get down off the boardwalk onto the peninsula to make sure newly planted native species aren’t overgrown with reed canary grass and other invasives. DESCRIPTION:Click here to sign up!\nVolunteer with Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group on the King County Parks-owned West Sammamish River Trail in Woodinville to restore Chinook\, Coho\, and Sockeye salmon habitat! \nThis will be the first planting event of the season! 500 new native plants were recently delivered to the restoraiton site and are ready to get in the groud! Our event time will be divided in to two tasks – planting trees and shrubs and clearing invasive Himalayan Blackberry from the river’s shoreline to open space for planting at the next event. \nUpon signing up you will receive a confirmation email from VolunteerMatch. Mid Sound’s Stewardship Coordinator\, Molly\, will send a reminder email with event details and the youth wavier the Wednesday before the event. \n**If you are under 18 and attending without a parent or guardian\, please also print and fill out the Youth Waiver Form attached to the Wednesday reminder email and bring it with you to the event!**
