SUMMARY:7/12/2025 Weeding Restoration Event on Sammamish River
DESCRIPTION:Click here to sign up!\nJoin Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group on the King County Parks-owned West Sammamish River Trail to restore Chinook salmon habitat and support Southern Resdient Killer Whales! \nWe will spend the event time doing maintenance activities starting at the south-end of our Sammamish River restoration site in Woodinville. This will include weeding a variety of invasive species and freeing young native plantings so they can thrive during the Summer growing season. Maintenance is a really important task during the summer season and we appreciate the help volunteers like you bring! \nUpon signing up you will receive a confirmation email. On July 9th\, the Wednesday before the event\, Molly\, Mid Sound Fisheries Stewardship Coordinator\, will send a reminder email with event logistics on site access\, what to pack\, and all other necessary information. \n***If you are under 18 and attending without a parent/ guardian and this is your first Mid Sound event you’ve volunteered at\, please print and fill out the King County Parks Youth Waiver Form attached to Molly’s Wednesday email and bring it with you to the event!***
