Welcome to the Mid-Puget Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group!

Mid Sound is one of 14 Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups (RFEGs) in the state of Washington. We’re a non-profit organization based out of Seattle working to increase salmon populations in the Pacific Northwest. Mid Sound chooses to help increase salmon populations by focusing on habitat restoration, creation and protection. We work cooperatively with both private and public landowners and others in the community to improve salmon habitat. We rely on our volunteers and supporters to make what we do possible! If you are interested in volunteering, please check out our current opportunities.

Paul G. Ancich Memorial Scholarship

On the death of Paul G. Ancich, the Regional Fisheries Coalition determined to create a perpetual Memorial Scholarship in his name.  Supported by all members of the RFEGC and designed to provide any young man or women interested in our programs an opportunity to take of advantage of this scholarship.

Each individual RFEG would provide $200 annually to support this goal that would in turn provide an annual scholarship of $2000 with the difference between what was collected and what was distributed would be retained in an endowment fund.

Each RFEG is responsible for providing one finalist to the RFEGC for consideration. Each applicant is ranked using a pre-determined matrix provided by the Coalition. The highest ranking score will become the winner for that year.  Applicants must be from and residing in Washington State is eligible
